North Carolina Session 2021-58 Law modified North Carolina General Statute 159‑28 to allow the use of an automated system to meet the preaudit requirements of NCGS 159-28(a1) . Use of the automated system requires an annual certification to the Secretary of the Local Government Commission by the unit’s finance officer. ‌

To file a certification of a preaudit system pursuant to the requirements of NCGS 159-28 (a1), please complete and submit the form below. Please note that this certification is required annually, within 30 days after the start of unit’s fiscal year. Following submission of the form, an email confirmation will be sent to the email address provided below.
